Responsibilities
- Process and prioritize emergency/non-emergency calls using CAD/RMS systems
- Coordinate field units during critical incidents (fires, medical emergencies, crimes)
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation of all communications
- Provide pre-arrival instructions to callers during medical emergencies
- Operate radio systems and multi-agency communication channels
- Execute multi-agency resource deployments during large-scale events
- Adhere to NIMS and departmental protocols during all operations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college preferred)
- Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM with 90% accuracy
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check and polygraph
- Experience in customer service or crisis communication
- Proficiency with computer systems and multi-tasking
- Ability to work rotating shifts (nights, weekends, holidays)
- U.S. citizenship and Minnesota residency required
