Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls using CAD/RMS systems
- Dispatch police, fire, and EMS units with accuracy and urgency
- Maintain detailed call logs and incident documentation
- Provide pre-arrival instructions to callers in crisis situations
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Operate radio equipment and maintain clear communication channels
- Adhere to federal and state communication protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to type 40+ WPM (verified assessment required)
- Clear criminal background and driving record
- Strong multitasking and problem-solving abilities
- Exceptional active listening and verbal communication skills
- Ability to remain calm during high-stress situations
- Basic computer proficiency with willingness to learn specialized software
- U.S. citizenship and Wisconsin residency (or ability to obtain residency)
