Responsibilities
- Monitor surveillance systems and patrol designated municipal facilities overnight
- Respond to security breaches, alarms, and emergency incidents within 5 minutes
- Conduct access control verification for staff and visitors during restricted hours
- Prepare detailed incident reports and security documentation using digital systems
- Collaborate with emergency services (police, fire) during critical incidents
- Perform preventative maintenance checks on security equipment and systems
- Enforce safety protocols and conduct routine facility inspections
Qualifications
- Valid Texas Class C Driver's License with clean record
- TX DPS Level 2 Security Officer certification or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years experience in law enforcement, corrections, or security
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
- Proficient in CCTV operation and access control systems
- Strong communication skills with ability to de-escalate tense situations
- Physical fitness to handle prolonged standing and emergency response
- HS diploma or GED required; associate's degree preferred
