Responsibilities
- Monitor surveillance systems and patrol designated municipal facilities during overnight hours
- Enforce access control procedures and verify credentials for all personnel
- Respond to emergency situations including medical incidents, security breaches, and facility alarms
- Prepare detailed incident reports and security documentation
- Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency services when required
- Conduct regular safety inspections of premises and equipment
- Maintain communication protocols with central dispatch and on-call supervisors
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Texas Class C driver's license
- Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Security Officer license
- Minimum 1 year security or law enforcement experience
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- First Aid/CPR certification required (or willingness to obtain)
- Proficient with surveillance systems and communication technology
- Must pass background check and drug screening
