Responsibilities
- Monitor surveillance systems and patrol assigned government facilities during overnight hours
- Respond to security breaches and emergency incidents with appropriate protocols
- Maintain detailed incident logs and daily activity reports
- Conduct access control and ID verification for personnel and visitors
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during critical incidents
- Implement emergency response procedures for natural disasters or threats
- Operate security equipment including metal detectors, alarms, and communication systems
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid Louisiana Security Officer certification or ability to obtain within 60 days
- Ability to pass federal background check and drug screening
- Minimum 1 year security or law enforcement experience preferred
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work independently during overnight shifts (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Basic computer proficiency for report documentation
- Must be US citizen with clean driving record
