Responsibilities
- Patrol designated municipal facilities and properties during overnight hours to prevent unauthorized access and security breaches
- Monitor surveillance systems and respond immediately to alarms, incidents, or suspicious activities
- Conduct thorough security checks of buildings, grounds, and access points using electronic detection equipment
- Prepare detailed incident reports, maintenance logs, and security documentation with precision
- Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency services during critical incidents
- Enforce safety protocols and conduct emergency evacuation drills for city facilities
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in criminal justice preferred
- Minimum 2 years of security or law enforcement experience with night shift exposure
- Valid Arizona Driver's License and clean driving record
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire)
- Proficiency with surveillance systems, access control software, and communication devices
- Ability to work independently in low-visibility environments with minimal supervision
