Responsibilities
- Monitor surveillance systems and patrol assigned city facilities during overnight hours (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Respond to security incidents, medical emergencies, and alarm activations with swift, professional action
- Conduct access control procedures and verify credentials for all personnel entering restricted areas
- Maintain detailed incident logs, daily activity reports, and security breach documentation
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during emergency situations and investigations
- Conduct facility security assessments and recommend preventative measures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in criminal justice preferred
- Minimum 2 years security, law enforcement, or military experience
- Valid Minnesota Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) certification or equivalent
- CPR and First Aid certification required (training provided if needed)
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure
- Proficient in surveillance systems, radio communications, and security software
- Must pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
