Responsibilities
- Monitor surveillance systems and patrol designated government facilities during overnight shifts
- Respond promptly to security breaches, emergencies, and suspicious activities
- Conduct thorough security inspections and access control for restricted areas
- Prepare detailed incident reports and maintain accurate security logs
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during critical incidents
- Implement emergency response protocols for natural disasters or civil unrest
- Utilize advanced security technology including biometric scanners and alarm systems
Qualifications
- Valid Florida Security Officer License (Class D)
- Minimum 2 years of security or law enforcement experience
- Ability to work independently during overnight hours (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Clean criminal background check and drug-free certification
- Proficiency in CCTV monitoring and access control systems
- Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain government security clearance
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
