Responsibilities
- Monitor surveillance systems and patrol assigned government premises during overnight hours
- Enforce access control procedures and verify credentials for personnel/visitors
- Respond to emergencies, security breaches, and incidents per protocol
- Document security incidents and maintain detailed activity logs
- Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services when required
- Conduct routine safety inspections and report maintenance needs
- Operate security equipment (alarms, cameras, communication systems)
Qualifications
- Valid Kentucky Security Guard License or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Minimum 2 years security or law enforcement experience
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail
- Proficient with surveillance technology and reporting systems
- Pass background check and drug screening per government requirements
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
