Responsibilities
- Monitor facility security systems and conduct regular patrols during overnight hours
- Enforce state regulations and protocols to maintain inmate/resident safety
- Document incidents and prepare detailed shift reports using digital systems
- Respond to emergencies and coordinate with law enforcement when required
- Operate surveillance equipment and access control systems
- Conduct headcounts and security checks at scheduled intervals
- Maintain accurate records of property and contraband discoveries
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Valid Pennsylvania driver's license with clean record
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Experience in security, law enforcement, or corrections (preferred)
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to remain alert and make decisions during overnight hours
- Basic computer literacy for reporting systems
- Physical stamina to stand/walk for extended periods
