Responsibilities
- Maintain park facilities, playgrounds, and athletic fields including landscaping, equipment checks, and safety inspections
- Organize and lead recreational programs, sports leagues, and community events
- Provide excellent customer service to park visitors and program participants
- Enforce park rules and regulations to ensure a safe environment
- Assist in emergency response procedures during severe weather or incidents
- Operate maintenance equipment and tools safely and efficiently
- Collaborate with team members to achieve departmental goals
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Florida Driver's License with clean driving record
- CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
- Experience in customer service or recreation preferred
- Background check and drug screening required
