Responsibilities
- Perform general landscape maintenance, including mowing, trimming, weeding, and pruning in parks and public facilities.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of recreational events, sports leagues, and community programs.
- Inspect park facilities and grounds for safety hazards, structural damage, or maintenance needs.
- Engage with park visitors and patrons to provide excellent customer service and answer inquiries.
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, picnic areas, playground equipment, and trails.
- Operate and maintain landscaping equipment, such as mowers, trimmers, and edgers.
- Monitor and report on inventory levels of supplies and materials.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; technical certification in landscaping or recreation is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions.
- Valid North Carolina Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Basic knowledge of landscaping tools, power equipment, and safety protocols.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on public service.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
