Responsibilities
- Maintain athletic fields, playgrounds, and landscaped areas to ensure safe and attractive public spaces.
- Perform general cleaning duties, including litter removal, trash collection, and restroom sanitation.
- Operate and maintain park maintenance equipment, including mowers, tractors, and hand tools.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of recreational events, festivals, and community programs.
- Monitor park facilities for safety hazards and report maintenance needs to supervisors.
- Provide excellent customer service to park visitors and respond to inquiries regarding park rules and regulations.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, or public works is preferred but not required.
- Valid California Driver's License and a clean driving record.
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of safety procedures and equipment operation.
