Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain park facilities, playgrounds, sports courts, and irrigation systems
- Lead youth and adult recreational programs including sports leagues, arts & crafts, and nature education
- Perform routine maintenance tasks: landscaping, trash removal, equipment inspections, and safety checks
- Provide exceptional customer service to park visitors, addressing inquiries and resolving concerns
- Assist in event setup and coordination for festivals, tournaments, and community gatherings
- Collaborate with team members to ensure parks meet safety and accessibility standards
- Monitor park conditions and report maintenance needs or safety hazards promptly
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required; associate degree in recreation management preferred
- Minimum 1 year experience in parks maintenance, event coordination, or customer service
- Valid Colorado driver's license with clean driving record
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire)
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong communication skills and ability to engage positively with diverse community members
- Basic knowledge of turf management, horticulture, or recreational facility operations
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required for events and maintenance
