Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray machines and metal detectors to screen passengers and carry-on baggage
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and explosive trace detection procedures
- Verify travel documents and boarding passes for compliance with TSA regulations
- Respond to security alerts and coordinate with law enforcement when necessary
- Maintain detailed logs of security incidents and screening activities
- Provide excellent customer service while enforcing security protocols
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn security systems
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
