Responsibilities
- Maintain parks, trails, and recreational facilities through landscaping, equipment operation, and routine inspections
- Implement safety protocols for playgrounds, sports courts, and public amenities
- Assist with event setup and coordination for community gatherings and festivals
- Perform minor repairs on park structures and irrigation systems
- Collaborate with team members on seasonal beautification projects
- Engage with visitors to provide information and ensure positive experiences
- Participate in emergency response protocols during extreme weather events
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework in recreation management preferred
- Valid Texas Class C Driver's License with clean driving record
- Experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, or facility maintenance
- First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
- Proficiency with basic hand tools and powered equipment
