Responsibilities
- Process and digitize public records requests in compliance with Florida Statutes Chapter 119
- Verify document authenticity and maintain accurate archival records
- Respond to citizen inquiries regarding public record access procedures
- Assist with redaction of sensitive information as mandated by law
- Collaborate with records management team on retention policies
- Generate weekly compliance reports for departmental review
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework in Public Administration preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems
- Strong attention to detail with organizational skills
- Basic understanding of Florida's public records laws
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive documents
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Availability to work 20-25 hours per week, including occasional weekends
