Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair athletic fields, landscaping, and recreational facilities to high standards.
- Enforce park rules and regulations to ensure visitor safety and order.
- Assist in the planning and execution of community events, festivals, and recreational programs.
- Operate heavy and light machinery, including mowers, tractors, and maintenance vehicles.
- Collect trash, remove debris, and maintain cleanliness of public parks and facilities.
- Interact with the public and provide exceptional customer service regarding park amenities.
- Perform general maintenance duties such as painting, basic carpentry, and plumbing repairs.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Valid California Class C Driver’s License with a good driving record.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
- Basic knowledge of landscaping techniques, horticulture, and power tool operation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for public interaction.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and early morning hours.
- Pass a background check and drug screening as part of the hiring process.
