Responsibilities
- Maintain park grounds including mowing, pruning, irrigation systems, and litter removal
- Operate light machinery (mowers, trimmers, blowers) and perform routine equipment maintenance
- Set up/break down for events, sports leagues, and recreational activities
- Inspect playground equipment and facilities to ensure safety compliance
- Provide excellent customer service to park visitors and address inquiries
- Assist with seasonal projects including planting, mulching, and hazard removal
- Complete daily maintenance logs and report facility issues promptly
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience preferred
- Valid California driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Experience operating landscaping/maintenance equipment
- Basic knowledge of park safety protocols and ADA compliance
- Ability to work independently in all weather conditions
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
- Must pass background check and pre-employment drug screening
