Responsibilities
- Maintain Public Spaces: Perform routine cleaning, landscaping, and maintenance of parks, trails, and recreational facilities to ensure safety and aesthetic appeal.
- Event Support: Assist in setting up and breaking down equipment for community events, festivals, and sports leagues held at city parks.
- Groundskeeping: Operate mowers, trimmers, and other landscaping equipment to keep athletic fields and green spaces in top condition.
- Customer Service: Interact positively with park visitors, answer questions, and resolve minor complaints or issues in a professional manner.
- Inventory Management: Monitor supplies and equipment, reporting shortages or maintenance needs to supervisors promptly.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while working outdoors or with heavy machinery.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience: Previous experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or customer service is preferred but not mandatory.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in various weather conditions for extended periods.
- Driver's License: A valid Texas Driver's License is required for some positions.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to work well in a team setting.
- Remote Capability: Basic computer skills and ability to complete administrative tasks remotely are a plus.
