Responsibilities
- Maintain and clean park facilities, restrooms, and grounds to ensure a welcoming environment.
- Assist with the setup, operation, and teardown of community events, sports leagues, and recreational programs.
- Perform routine landscaping tasks, including mowing, raking, weeding, and planting.
- Monitor park areas to identify and report safety hazards or maintenance issues.
- Operate basic maintenance equipment, such as mowers, trimmers, and leaf blowers.
- Interact positively with the public, answering questions and providing information regarding park rules and amenities.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and departmental policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, rain, and cold.
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and push objects weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Basic knowledge of landscaping tools is a plus but not required.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality are essential.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a diverse team.
