Responsibilities
- Maintain park grounds, athletic fields, and recreational facilities through daily cleaning, landscaping, and equipment operation
- Implement and oversee youth/adult recreation programs including sports leagues, fitness classes, and community events Ensure safety compliance for all park users through regular inspections and incident reporting
- Operate and maintain park equipment (mowers, irrigation systems, playground structures)
- Provide exceptional customer service to park visitors and program participants
- Collaborate with cross-department teams on facility improvements and event coordination
- Assist in emergency response procedures during extreme weather or safety incidents
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in recreation management preferred
- Minimum 1 year experience in parks maintenance, event coordination, or customer service
- Valid Nevada driver's license with clean driving record
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends, evenings, and holidays
- Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform outdoor labor in extreme temperatures
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently as well as in a team
- Basic knowledge of turf management and irrigation systems preferred
