Responsibilities
- Maintain public parks, athletic fields, and landscaping areas to ensure safety, cleanliness, and aesthetic appeal.
- Operate and maintain heavy and light equipment, including mowers, tractors, trimmers, and hand tools.
- Assist in the setup, operation, and cleanup of community events, festivals, and recreational programs.
- Monitor park facilities and grounds for vandalism, safety hazards, and maintenance needs.
- Interact with the public and provide excellent customer service regarding park amenities and regulations.
- Perform routine cleaning, minor repairs, and facility maintenance tasks.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid California Class C Driver's License with a good driving record.
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs and working in various weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of landscaping and maintenance practices is preferred but not required.
- Strong commitment to public service, community well-being, and teamwork.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently as well as part of a team.
