As a key member of our team, you will help maintain the green spaces and facilities that make our community vibrant and safe for residents and visitors alike.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine grounds maintenance, including mowing, trimming, weeding, and landscaping to ensure park aesthetics.
- Maintain the cleanliness and safety of park facilities, restrooms, picnic areas, and athletic courts.
- Set up and dismantle equipment for community events, sports leagues, and recreational programs.
- Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of playground equipment, signage, and fencing.
- Operate light machinery and hand tools, such as mowers, trimmers, and jackhammers, safely and efficiently.
- Provide exceptional customer service to residents, answering inquiries and addressing concerns regarding park usage.
- Participate in snow removal, trash collection, and emergency response duties during inclement weather.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid North Carolina Driver’s License (Class E) is required.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods.
- Basic knowledge of landscaping, gardening, or facility maintenance is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
- Strong commitment to public service and safety standards.
- Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screening.
