Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance of parks, trails, athletic fields, and playgrounds
- Operate landscaping equipment and power tools safely and efficiently
- Lead recreational activities and educational programs for community members of all ages
- Monitor park facilities, report maintenance issues, and ensure safety compliance
- Collaborate with volunteers and seasonal staff on conservation projects
- Assist in event setup and support for community gatherings
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework in recreation management preferred
- Valid Oregon Driver's License with clean driving record
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Experience operating landscaping/maintenance equipment
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of horticulture or park management practices
