Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain park facilities, playgrounds, athletic fields, and green spaces
- Lead recreational programs including youth sports, senior activities, and special events
- Ensure safety compliance and perform routine equipment inspections
- Provide excellent customer service to park visitors and program participants
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for facility improvements and event coordination
- Implement seasonal maintenance plans and landscape beautification projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree in Recreation Management preferred
- Minimum 1 year experience in parks maintenance or recreational programming
- Current CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Valid Florida driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required
- Strong communication skills and passion for community engagement
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks in varying weather conditions
