Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance of city parks, streets, and public facilities
- Operate light equipment (mowers, trimmers, trucks) safely and efficiently
- Assist with event setup/breakdown at beachfront venues
- Respond to urgent maintenance requests within city limits
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and city safety protocols
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on infrastructure projects
- Document work activities and maintain equipment logs
Qualifications
- Valid California Class C driver's license
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor in varying weather
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic equipment operation experience preferred
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work weekends/holidays for events
