Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain park facilities, playgrounds, athletic fields, and equipment
- Plan, coordinate, and lead recreational programs (sports, arts, senior activities)
- Enforce safety protocols and respond to emergency situations
- Assist with special events, festivals, and community outreach initiatives
- Perform routine inspections and report maintenance needs
- Collaborate with volunteers and community groups
- Ensure ADA compliance and inclusive access to all facilities
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in recreation management preferred
- 1+ years experience in parks, recreation, or customer service
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Knowledge of landscaping/maintenance equipment operation
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
