Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair park facilities, including restrooms, shelters, and playground equipment, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and safety.
- Perform landscaping duties such as mowing, weeding, planting, and watering to preserve the aesthetic appeal of city parks and trails.
- Assist in the setup, operation, and teardown of community events, festivals, and sporting tournaments.
- Monitor park areas to enforce rules, address visitor inquiries, and ensure a secure environment for all.
- Operate and maintain light landscaping equipment, hand tools, and vehicles in a safe and efficient manner.
- Collect and dispose of waste and debris, maintaining a litter-free community atmosphere.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, or public service is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to perform physical labor including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions.
- Valid California Driver's License and a clean driving record.
- Basic knowledge of landscaping tools and equipment.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to customer service excellence.
