Responsibilities
- Manage daily park maintenance including landscaping, facility upkeep, and safety inspections
- Coordinate recreational programs, sports leagues, and community events for all age groups
- Enforce park regulations while providing exceptional customer service to visitors
- Operate park equipment (mowers, tractors, irrigation systems) safely and efficiently
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement seasonal park projects
- Respond to public inquiries and resolve facility-related issues promptly
- Assist in emergency preparedness and weather-related park closures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework in recreation management preferred
- 1+ years experience in parks maintenance, event coordination, or customer service
- Valid Tennessee driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding tasks in varying weather conditions
- CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Strong communication skills with ability to engage diverse community members
- Basic knowledge of turf management, irrigation systems, and park safety protocols
- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required
