Responsibilities
- Develop and implement targeted outreach strategies for city programs and initiatives
- Coordinate community events and informational sessions across San Jose neighborhoods
- Collect and analyze community feedback to inform program improvements
- Collaborate with city departments to align outreach with resident needs
- Maintain accurate records of community interactions and engagement metrics
- Represent the city at public forums and stakeholder meetings
- Leverage digital and traditional channels to amplify outreach efforts
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Public Administration, Social Work, or related field
- Minimum 1 year experience in community outreach or public service
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems
- Ability to work evenings/weekends for community events
- Valid California driver's license with clean driving record
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or Vietnamese strongly preferred
