Responsibilities
- Review and adjudicate disability claims according to federal regulations
- Analyze medical documentation and vocational evidence for eligibility determination Maintain accurate case records in SSA's electronic systems
- Communicate claim status updates to applicants and representatives
- Collaborate with medical and legal professionals on complex cases
- Participate in quarterly quality assurance reviews
- Process benefit payments and appeals documentation
- Adhere to strict confidentiality and HIPAA compliance standards
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field
- 2+ years experience in claims processing or medical adjudication
- Proficiency in SSA's claims processing systems
- Knowledge of federal disability regulations (Title II/ XVI)
- Excellent written communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work 20-25 hours per week with flexible scheduling
- Pass background investigation and drug screening
