Responsibilities
- Review and process incoming claims and inquiries with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Communicate complex policy information to Veterans and stakeholders in a clear, compassionate, and timely manner.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve outstanding issues and improve workflow processes.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive government data and personal information in compliance with federal standards.
- Utilize federal case management systems to track status and update records in real-time.
- Conduct research to support claim decisions and provide comprehensive documentation for appeals.
- Assist in training new staff members on federal procedures and software tools.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship is required for this federal position.
- Active Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in Business Administration or related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in customer service, claims processing, or administrative support.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and federal case management software.
- Strong typing speed (minimum 40 WPM) and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Knowledge of VA or federal regulations regarding benefits and claims is a plus.
