Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret federal healthcare datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for program improvement
- Develop and maintain automated data pipelines using SQL, Python, and R to ensure accurate and timely reporting
- Create compelling visualizations and dashboards using Tableau or Power BI to communicate findings to stakeholders
- Ensure all data handling adheres to HIPAA, FISMA, and other federal compliance requirements
- Collaborate with program managers to translate business needs into analytical solutions
- Prepare comprehensive reports and briefings for senior leadership and congressional committees
- Conduct quality assurance checks on datasets and analytical outputs
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Public Health, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 2+ years of experience with federal datasets and compliance standards (HIPAA, FISMA)
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python (Pandas, NumPy), and R for data manipulation
- Expertise in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent)
- Strong understanding of statistical analysis and experimental design
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a federal environment
- Active security clearance or ability to obtain one (required for federal data access)
