Responsibilities
- Process and verify federal pension benefit requests and calculations with high accuracy.
- Provide exceptional customer service and detailed explanations regarding retirement plan options to federal employees.
- Maintain up-to-date and precise records of pension accounts, claim status, and employee inquiries.
- Collaborate with the benefits administration team to resolve complex pension discrepancies and questions.
- Ensure strict adherence to federal regulations and internal compliance standards regarding retirement plans.
- Prepare and review monthly reports regarding pension plan performance and operational metrics.
- Assist in the onboarding and training of new temporary staff regarding pension procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; Associate’s degree in Finance, Human Resources, or Business preferred.
- Previous experience with federal employee benefits, pension administration, or retirement plans is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to detect errors in data entry and calculations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion.
- Basic knowledge of U.S. government payroll or benefits systems is a plus.
