Responsibilities
- Constituent Services: Manage the intake and routing of inquiries regarding federal benefits, grants, and regulations for the Baltimore community.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all processed applications and documentation adhere to strict federal guidelines and agency protocols.
- Outreach & Education: Conduct informational sessions to educate the public on available federal resources and part-time employment opportunities.
- Data Management: Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of all client interactions and case statuses within the federal database system.
- Inter-Agency Coordination: Facilitate communication between the local office and federal headquarters to resolve complex cases efficiently.
- Administrative Support: Prepare reports, schedule appointments, and assist in the preparation of briefing materials for senior staff.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen eligible for a Public Trust background investigation.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in customer service, administrative support, or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and federal case management software.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex federal policies in plain English.
- Availability: Must be available to work a minimum of 15-20 hours per week during business hours.
