The City of Denver Department of Transportation is seeking a detail-oriented and service-driven Part-Time Government Administrative Assistant. Responsibilities
- Front Desk Management: Greet visitors, answer multi-line phone systems, and direct inquiries to the appropriate department staff.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate, up-to-date digital and physical files for municipal permits, reports, and correspondence.
- Data Entry: Process applications, forms, and payments with a high degree of accuracy using City ERP systems.
- Communication: Draft and distribute internal memos, newsletters, and external correspondence to stakeholders.
- Scheduling: Assist in scheduling meetings, interviews, and site visits for department supervisors.
- Inventory Control: Assist in tracking office supplies and equipment to ensure department readiness.
- Compliance Support: Help ensure all administrative processes adhere to City of Denver policies and state regulations.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree or coursework in Business Administration preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of administrative or clerical experience in a government, healthcare, or corporate setting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience with database management software.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse populations.
- Availability: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings or weekends as needed for special events.
- Integrity: Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and maintain a high standard of ethics.
