Responsibilities
- Conduct Data Analysis: Assist in gathering, cleaning, and analyzing government data to support policy-making and budget allocation.
- Prepare Official Reports: Draft and format comprehensive reports for city council meetings and departmental leadership.
- Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and document compliance with federal, state, and local government regulations.
- Public Outreach: Serve as a point of contact for citizens, responding to inquiries and distributing public information materials.
- Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in current workflows and propose modern solutions using basic digital tools.
- Record Management: Maintain accurate, up-to-date digital and physical records in compliance with city archiving standards.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in administrative support, government operations, or data entry.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience with database management software.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
- Integrity: Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with strict confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.
- Availability: Must be available to work a minimum of 20 hours per week, including occasional evenings for city events.
