Responsibilities
- Records Management: Maintain, organize, and secure physical and digital files in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Data Entry: Accurately input and update data into government databases and record-keeping systems.
- Constituent Support: Assist visitors and citizens by answering inquiries regarding records and directing them to the appropriate departments.
- Report Preparation: Compile, verify, and prepare statistical reports and correspondence for review by senior management.
- System Maintenance: Monitor inventory levels of office supplies and perform basic maintenance of office equipment.
- Compliance: Ensure all records management processes adhere to FOIA (Freedom of Information Act) guidelines and city policies.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience: Previous experience in an administrative or records management role is preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general computer literacy.
- Attributes: Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high levels of accuracy under pressure.
