Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support to state employees via phone, email, and ticketing systems.
- Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software applications.
- Perform routine troubleshooting of network connectivity issues and hardware malfunctions.
- Conduct user training sessions on new software updates and security protocols.
- Monitor system performance and report technical anomalies to the Senior IT Manager.
- Maintain accurate records of support tickets and incident reports in the state's database.
- Collaborate with other departments to identify and implement process improvements.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Information Technology or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in IT support, help desk, or a related technical role.
- Proficient in troubleshooting Microsoft Windows, Office Suite, and basic networking concepts.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening as required by state policy.
- Must be able to work a part-time schedule, including occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
