- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support for hardware, software, and network issues via help desk ticketing systems.
- Troubleshoot desktop environments, printers, and peripheral devices to minimize downtime for state employees.
- Assist in the configuration and deployment of Windows operating systems and authorized government applications.
- Maintain accurate records of all technical support incidents and resolutions in the central database.
- Conduct regular inventory checks of IT assets and manage equipment lifecycle management.
- Collaborate with senior IT staff to implement security protocols and compliance standards.
- Conduct training sessions for new employees regarding office technology usage.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
- 1-3 years of experience in technical support, help desk, or a related IT role.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Windows operating systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to explain complex technical issues to non-technical users.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings or weekends if required by agency needs.
- Willingness to submit to a background investigation and state security clearance process.
