Responsibilities
- Operate park facilities including playgrounds, athletic courts, and picnic areas
- Lead recreational programs and special events for diverse age groups
- Perform routine maintenance including trash removal, landscaping, and equipment checks
- Provide excellent customer service to park visitors and address inquiries
- Enforce safety regulations and maintain clean, welcoming environments
- Assist with seasonal setup/teardown of community events
- Collaborate with team members on operational improvements
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and evenings
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic knowledge of recreational equipment and safety protocols
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks
- Valid Virginia driver's license preferred
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Positive attitude and passion for community service
