Responsibilities
- Maintain park grounds including mowing, landscaping, and litter removal
- Operate and inspect playground equipment, sports courts, and recreational facilities
- Assist with event setup/breakdown for community activities and sports leagues
- Perform routine maintenance on park structures and amenities
- Provide excellent customer service to park visitors and program participants
- Complete daily safety inspections and incident reports
- Collaborate with full-time staff on seasonal park improvement projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid New Mexico driver's license
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical labor outdoors
- Basic knowledge of grounds maintenance tools and equipment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends occasionally
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred (training provided if needed)
- Experience in parks, landscaping, or customer service preferred
