Responsibilities

  • Pension Processing: Review and process pension applications, benefit requests, and distribution forms for retirees and beneficiaries with 100% accuracy.

Qualifications

  • Education: Associate’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field is required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in pension administration, benefits administration, or a related government role.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience with HRIS or pension software is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of ERISA (Employee Retirement Income Security Act) and state labor laws.
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial staff and retirees.
