Responsibilities
- Process retirement applications and pension benefit calculations for government employees
- Verify eligibility and compliance with ERISA and Kentucky state pension regulations
- Manage participant records and maintain accurate pension database systems
- Respond to inquiries from retirees, employers, and beneficiaries regarding pension plans
- Prepare quarterly reports on pension fund performance and administrative activities
- Coordinate with Texas-based agencies for multi-state pension administration
- Conduct annual plan audits and compliance reviews
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of pension plan administration experience
- Proficiency in pension management software (e.g., Millennium, Empower)
- Strong knowledge of ERISA, IRS 401(k) regulations, and Kentucky pension statutes
- Certified Pension Consultant (CPC) or Retirement Plans Associate (RPA) preferred
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to financial data accuracy
