Responsibilities
- Review and process pension benefit applications and claims with high accuracy and efficiency.
- Assist retirees and beneficiaries with inquiries regarding eligibility, payments, and plan provisions.
- Maintain and update confidential pension records and databases in compliance with state regulations.
- Collaborate with the actuarial team to ensure data integrity and reporting accuracy.
- Prepare correspondence and documentation related to pension disbursements and audits.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Public Administration preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in pension administration, government benefits, or financial customer service.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain complex policies clearly.
