Responsibilities
- Assist in the administration and processing of pension benefit requests, withdrawals, and retirement applications.
- Review and verify documentation for compliance with government regulations, ERISA, and state pension plan guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with retirees, beneficiaries, and members via phone, email, and in-person regarding plan details, status updates, and policy changes.
- Maintain accurate and secure records in our database systems, ensuring data integrity across Kentucky and Texas jurisdictions.
- Collaborate with the compliance and legal teams to ensure adherence to federal and state pension laws.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in member accounts and recommend process improvements.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Public Administration preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in administrative support, customer service, or government benefits administration.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
- Strong understanding of privacy laws (HIPAA/GDPR) and government data security protocols.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on empathy and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a part-time environment.
