Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with exceptional accuracy and professionalism
- Dispatch police, fire, and medical units using state-of-the-art CAD/RADAR systems
- Maintain detailed call logs and incident documentation
- Operate multi-channel radio systems and specialized emergency equipment
- Provide critical information to field units during active incidents
- Collaborate with cross-agency partners during multi-jurisdictional emergencies
- Participate in continuous training to master protocols and procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Must pass background investigation and polygraph examination
- Ability to type 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Exceptional communication and multitasking abilities
- Valid California driver's license
- US citizenship or legal permanent residency status
- No felony convictions or disqualifying misdemeanors
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
