Responsibilities
- Process emergency/non-emergency calls with speed and accuracy using CAD/RMS systems
- Dispatch police, fire, and EMS units using radio and telephone protocols
- Maintain detailed logs and incident documentation per department standards
- Provide critical information to officers and public safety partners
- Operate multi-channel radio systems and emergency alert platforms
- Manage sensitive information with strict confidentiality protocols
- Participate in ongoing scenario-based training drills
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must pass background check, drug screen, and psychological evaluation
- Basic computer proficiency with ability to learn complex systems
- Exceptional communication and multitasking abilities
- Ability to remain calm under extreme pressure
- Valid Wisconsin driver's license
- Must complete 80-hour state-certified dispatcher training
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
