Responsibilities
- Answer and prioritize emergency and non-emergency calls in accordance with department protocols
- Operate Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems and radio equipment

- Coordinate resources and personnel for field responses
- Maintain accurate and detailed call logs and incident documentation
- Collaborate with law enforcement, fire, and EMS agencies
- Adhere to strict confidentiality and HIPAA compliance standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED required)
- Minimum 18 years of age (21+ for full-time dispatch roles)
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 90% accuracy
- Strong multitasking abilities under pressure
- Excellent verbal communication and active listening skills
- Basic computer proficiency with willingness to learn specialized software
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record
